SDUFC 2024 Adult Super League season wrap up

The inaugural SDUFC Adult Super League (summer league) concluded with the Pink Panthers winning the overall championship.

Regular season saw the Pink Panthers and Unathleticos draw neck-and-neck in points, wins, and losses. This led to goal differential being used to break the tie for regular season first place. Pink Panthers won with 20 vs 15.

Regular Season Standings

Semi-finals saw the Pink Panthers play fourth-seeded Seaway Snipers in the first playoff match-up, while the Unathleticos played Purple Haze in the other semi-final. Pink Panthers advanced to the August 22 championship final with a 3-1 win over the Seaway Snipers. Meanwhile the Unathleticos took a commanding lead and did not look back, defeating Purple Haze 11-1 to move on to the championship final.

August 22 saw the Pink Panthers win 3-1 over the Unathleticos. Jacob Garlough opened scoring for Unathleticos the first half. Amber Vanderzwet’s goal from distance put the Pink Panthers level before half-time. Shayne Ingram’s first goal of the match gave the Pink Panthers a 2-1, and a second from Ingram late in the second half locked down the championship win. In the consolation match, Purple Haze defeated the Seaway Snipers 4-3. Purple Haze had a strong first half, with Terrance Mudde, Josh Savard, and Gavin Uhr (x2) scoring.
